This is really excellent; I feel tho that one needs the postmodern and postmodern analysis more than anything at the moment - for me Mike Davis work is crucial to understanding what is happening, even what we might assemble out of the bloody inverse of Baudrillard. We haven't returned to the real - we're sintered it, mashed it, transformed it into plasma and as you say, pyrotechnics. The very writing you do of the subtance of all of this is against the virtual and yet conveyed by it. Ontology is changing at high-speed; even the ideological horror of bin Laden is based on virtual satanism and we'd better understand it - Alan Internet text at http://www.anu.edu.au/english/internet_txt Partial at http://lists.village.virginia.edu/~spoons/internet_txt.html Trace Projects at http://trace.ntu.ac.uk/writers/sondheim/index.htm CDROM of collected work 1994-2000/1 available: write sondheim@panix.com
