These might be of interest; the first series contains more accurate ren-
ditions of images I put up a few years ago. The Koran is difficult to
photograph; it's small and delicate and tightly-bound. It's illuminated
with gold-leaf and from the early 19th-century and as usual we're broke;
I'm trying to auction it through Sotheby's or Christie's. I'm constantly
amazed at the physical labor and craft that went into it. I've never felt
comfortable owning it; it's a museum piece. The other three images are
half-exercise/camera-testing and playing around, but they're of interest I
think:
