nighthawk nighthawks are remarkable; their ruffled dives create amazing deep sounds, they're in the open, almost invisible, unobtrusive, fast dark-like fliers out after dusk, disappearing otherwise in the daylight hours, small, face-bristles, insect-hunting, have never heard pipa or pipa solo, certainly not this recent one at least, http://espdisk.com/alansondheim/nighthawk.mp3 ; i find the instrument as difficult to play as the nighthawk would; i keep changing techniques, nothing traditional; this solo is the most interesting; it changes quickly, backs up, something new is discovered, it's off again, there's something to think about, it helps that i'm reading about grassman algebras in supersymmetry, something strange and backing up about anti-commutation, listen at least, http://espdisk.com/alansondheim/nighthawk.mp3 , thanks.
