Myxomycetes again

We gathered three small pieces of the Caratunk slime mold,
together the size of my small fingernail. Following the lead of
Myxomycetes, A Handbook of Slime Molds, Steven Stephenson and
Henry Stempen, Timber Press 1994, somewhat out of date, not many
images of plasmodia. Two small pieces frozen, per instructions,
to remove parasites before mounting; one small piece resting on
a 3x5 card in a matchbox. We haven't seen fruiting bodies; we
don't have a microscope at this point (we did! if you have a
spare one, please send!). In any case, a few more images of the
network-to-be: nodeless, dynamic, in flux.
